Enfield, NH – January 5th, 2009 – Leading Edge Design Group, a leading provider of energy optimization services, announced today that they have been contracted by Mascoma Savings Bank to implement an energy reduction solution in their White River Junction, VT Operations Center. The proposed solution for the Operations Center, which was named the Efficiency Vermont 2004 "Energy Efficient Building of the Year," will save the Bank thousands in annual electrical costs.
Based on an extensive site survey of existing equipment and usage characteristics at the Operations Center as well as thorough analysis of state and federal tax incentives available to the Bank, Leading Edge Design Group designed a comprehensive solution that will help the Bank reduce their annual electric kWh usage by over 12%.
The facility-wide solution designed by Leading Edge Design Group includes treatments for HVAC units, air handling systems, and retrofits for the existing lighting system. Conservative preliminary estimates show, based on the annual savings recognized in electrical costs, that the Bank will recognize an ROI of less than 22 months for the solutions.
