Leading Edge Design Group’s work featured in LEDs Magazine

Enfield, NH - September 17th, 2009 - Leading Edge Design Group, a leading provider of energy optimization services, announced today that they are featured in a LEDs Magazine case study for their work with the Boston Manchester Regional Airport.

The Mascoma Savings Bank Operations Center was named the "Efficiency Vermont Building of the Year" in 2004, but the Bank continually strives to curb energy consumption in 2009 and beyond. The Bank is currently working with Leading Edge Design Group on additional self-funding energy reduction solution with implementation planned for early 2010.

Enfield, NH – December 9, 2009 – Leading Edge Design Group, a leading provider of energy optimization services, announced today that their firm has been featured in BICSI News for their knowledge of Data Center Design.

The article, "Project Management: A Framework for Data Center Design," was written after Todd Boucher, Principal at Leading Edge Design Group, was approached by the editorial staff at BICSI. "We were contacted by the editor of BICSI News after presenting at the 2009 Spring Conference in Baltimore, MD," says Boucher. "The editor asked if we would be willing to elaborate on the information shared during our presentation and submit it as an article for BICSI’s bi-monthly national publication."

Leading Edge Design Group helps Vertex Pharmaceuticals Upgrade Data Center

Cambridge, MA - September 10th, 2009 - Leading Edge Design Group, a leading provider of energy optimization services, recently helped Vertex Pharmaceuticals upgrade their Cambridge, MA data center and improve their ability to support future IT growth.

With the existing data center UPS nearing capacity and short-term plans to consolidate IT equipment, Vertex recognized the need to upgrade their UPS to support their growth. The challenge was to determine how the new, larger UPS could be implemented in the already space-confined data center. "Logistically, the implementation of the new UPS in the Vertex Data Center was very complicated," says Todd Boucher, Principal at Leading Edge Design Group. "It involved rack reconfigurations, electrical service alterations, horizontal cabling moves, and much more, all of which had to be completed in a tight downtime window."
