White River Jct, VT - November 12, 2009 – The Winter 2010 edition of "Business Matters," a quarterly publication by Mascoma Savings Bank, features the Bank’s work with Leading Edge Design Group to reduce their carbon footprint. Through their extensive Energy Tune Up (ETU) service, Leading Edge Design Group helped the Bank implement a comprehensive energy reduction solution that will reduce their annual kWh usage by over 12%.
Through the replacement of 400-watt lamps with new 40-watt LED technology, the recently completed project at the airport resulted in a reduction in operating expenses of over $42,000 and an energy reduction of 304,960 kWh per year.
