November 12, 2010 – Cambridge, MA – Leading Edge Design Group, a leading provider of energy optimization services, announced today that they have been chosen to design a new data center for The Forsyth Institute in their newly renovated facility in Cambridge, MA.  Design work will begin immediately with construction projected to begin in the second quarter of 2011.

The Forsyth Institute, founded in 1910 as a dental infirmary for disadvantaged children, is the world’s leading independent, oral health research organization.  Their innovative research work continues to grow in size and complexity and the IT infrastructure required to support these projects has been forced to expand to keep up.  “We are very grateful to have the opportunity to work with an organization like The Forsyth Institute that has such a proud, dedicated history,” says Todd Boucher, Principal at Leading Edge Design Group.  “We hope the reliable, energy efficient infrastructure in the new data center will play an important role in supporting their impactful, groundbreaking research efforts.”

The new data center will feature a Tier III design with real-time energy and PUE tracking.  More details will be released as design efforts progress over the coming months.
