Controller

Position Summary

A Controller at Leading Edge Design Group (LEDG) must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. The selected candidate will oversee accounting practices and coordinate with field sales team members for financial support. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
  • Overseeing the activities of the department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, customer billings, collection, and cash applications are processed accurately and executed on a timely basis.
  • Managing the accumulation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
  • Establishing and maintaining systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, enhancing the company's value.
  • Preparing various general ledger reconciliations
  • Coordinating and preparing internal financial statements.
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors (if required).
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Managing the budget process
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • A Master’s in Business Administration and/or CPA is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks
  • Prior experience working in a virtual work environment
  • Native or fluent in English
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Appetite for continuous learning and ongoing personal growth. Technologically proficient and capable of learning new technologies as required for LEDG project work.

Location Travel Requirements

This is a remote-office position with the employee based in one of the New England states. Occasional travel to the Leading Edge Design Group main office in Enfield, NH, is expected.

Accounting Associate

Position Summary

An Accountant at Leading Edge Design Group must have solid communication, technology, and analytical skills. The selected candidate will drive the accounting practice as well as coordinate with Client Service team members for financial support. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting the activities of the department, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Payroll, customer billings, collection, and cash applications
  • Managing the accumulation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results
  • Filing all State and Federal tax returns, W2s, 1099’s
  • Preparing various general ledger reconciliations
  • Participating in the budget process
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks is a plus
  • Native or fluent in English
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Client Service Manager - Full Time

Position Summary

Leading Edge Design Group (LEDG) plans, designs, and builds data centers and smart buildings. We are looking for a Client Service Manager that will be assigned to support long-term customer engagements and provide Information Technology (IT) department support for equipment and professional services quotations, order processing, and invoicing. You will help manage, track, and respond to customer communications as part of a dedicated team that supports a global customer with hourly requests from multiple worldwide locations. You will be an integral part of the customer’s team, critical to the success of the engagement. The ability to collaborate with LEDG team members, customers, and partners and adhere to LEDG and customer communications standards is essential. 

This is a full-time, 8 AM - 5 PM ET working hours position with insurance, flexible vacation, 401K, and profit sharing after 90 days. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in the high-tech, equipment distribution, value-added reseller, or other fast-paced customer service/order processing industry.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of quote requests and revisions with accuracy and organization.
  • ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.) or QuickBooks experience is necessary.
  • Consulting firm experience desired.
  • Prior experience working in a virtual work environment.
  • Native or fluent in English.
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Appetite for continuous learning and ongoing personal growth.
  • Technologically proficient and capable of learning new strategies, processes, and technologies as required for LEDG project work.
